“Not everything you face in this life is going to be easy, but you must know that because you are mine, all things are possible with me. My Spirit does not depart from you in times of struggle. You can always connect to me because I am with you through all your days, in every path you choose to walk.
The key is to keep moving forward. There is a time to be still and rest, but you must continually set your eyes upon growth so that my plans can be accomplished in you. Don’t allow your mind to become stagnant or you will become set in ways that are not in your best interest and you will miss the greatest blessings I have in store for you. Your journey through this life does not end until I call you home. Be willing to go where I want to take you.
The struggle you are facing right now is the one that I want to work out in your life. When I desire to teach you something, you are never going to be able to put it on the back burner. That battle you face in your mind is because I am trying to get your attention. We cannot address the issues until you are on the same page with me.
Jesus walked a path that eventually lead him to the garden of Gethsemane. He knew it was his time, he knew he was going to face an agonizing and painful death. He was overwhelmed because he knew he was going to suffer in his body. Yet, he overcame the battle in his mind and allowed my will to be done in his life. He continued to trust me to give him the strength he would need to get through the suffering he was about to endure.
Since I was there for my son as he faced the most grueling ordeal of his life, I will also be there for you in your struggle—in your pain—in your doubt. You will overcome because He did. You will be successful because He was. You will rise again because in faithful obedience he showed you how to do the same.”
- He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17
- They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.” Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” Mark 14: 32-36
- An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. Luke 22: 43,44
- …for “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16
