“My joy is your strength. So, in moments of frustration, make the choice to step into joy. Whatever is causing you frustration, is not worth allowing it to do so. You can control your reactions to recurring irritations by how you choose to respond to them.
Sitting in traffic, another drivers carelessness on the road, and foolish things that others say and do can be irritating to you. Rather than reacting in a way that is not good, (anger, name calling, hand gestures, etc.), seize the moment, take it captive. Don’t allow these things to overtake you and disrupt your peace of mind. Have the presence of mind to quickly step back from your emotions and regroup your thoughts. Bless the person that cut you off, pray for the safety of those in the path of a speeding driver. Forgive the one whose careless words are offensive, and remember to be thankful for the blessings that I have provided. Counter cultural responses will help you to step into joy. You will be amazed at how quickly your attitude changes.”
