a Whisper…power unleashed

“Recognizing and accepting my purposes for you in circumstances that are not always ideal, allows my Spirit to continue to work in your life. Even when you may not be content in those circumstances, you may remain content in me and trust me through them.

My power is unleashed in you when you are willing to yield your will to mine. This is one of the hardest things I will ask of you, but I will also be with you every step of the way and my Holy Spirit will provide you with all that you need so you can do what I have called you to do.

There is joy in obedience and being willing to endure some discomfort in your circumstances because I am teaching you and making you stronger through them. Not only that, but you do not fully comprehend how what I am doing in you is ministering to someone else.

You have a singular focus in your approach to your circumstances, but I am multi-dimensional, and my purposes and plans are broader than what you are often able to see. They will cover more ground and work in ways that help others to see me as you do. You must trust me in this; my plans are always for your good and for my glory.

Continue to delight in me for I am working in and through you to make a difference in the lives of others. You have been called by me, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. You are mine, you are blessed, and the world around you needs the love I have given to you. Be my light, reflect my love, and you will see my power unleashed in you and in your world.”

a Whisper…consider your Source

“My mercies never end. They are new every morning and you may receive them as you tap into me, as you wait upon me. I have put my love into your heart to bless you, to warm you from the inside out so that you are able to share it with others who need me. You are my child and I have you in the palm of my hands, therefore you do not have to worry about yourself. I will always take care of you.

Open your eyes to see the world around you and the needs of others. Be ready to respond to the leading of my Spirit in caring for them. As you follow my lead, you will find yourself naturally responding to me and how you act, what you say and do, will come as easily as breathing. You may not even realize that you are ministering to others in those moments.

Allowing me to lead you outside of your comfort zone is much easier than you believe it is. Don’t allow your flesh to keep you from my blessing. As you abide in me the way is easy because as the scripture says, “My yoke is easy, my burden is light.” Consider your Source and where your strength comes from. As you flow with me, I will flow through you.”

  • “O Lord, do not stay far away! You are my strength; come quickly to my aid!” Psalms 22:19
  • For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:30

“When you open your spiritual eyes, you will see things that others cannot see, but you could also see things that others may not understand. Some treasures are just for you, they aren’t easily explained.

As you walk your faith journey with me, trust me to reveal to you everything that has been specifically designed for you. Continue to draw near to me and let my word penetrate your heart. Express your thoughts to me and I will lead you; my truth will be your guide.

Stay humble and don’t veer from the path that I have you on. Remember that this is our journey together. My journey with another may look very different if you were to see it, so be wary of making comparisons.

Keep your eyes firmly fixed upon me and you will experience all the blessings, joys, and treasures I have yet for you to discover.”

  • “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever–the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” John 14: 16-17

“I delight when you come before me in prayer, when you come to me hungry for what I want to show you.  What I have for you will always bring health to your bones, and healing to your heart.

My love for you is intentional. It has the power to transform your spirit and to lead you in the path of righteousness so that you will live the life I have called you to live. True intimacy with me leads you to wisdom and truth. It empowers you to deal with all that this life throws at you.  It protects and makes you strong. It teaches, and it delivers you from sin.

Intimacy with me removes walls and barriers in your heart, making a way for my presence to produce fruit in your life. My Spirit is your peace and I will satisfy your deepest longings for love and relationship.

As you open yourself up to more of me, I will come and fellowship with you. You will hear my voice and follow me. I do not force myself upon anyone. I come to each as you open yourself up and are willing to receive me. I do promise my eternal blessings will be yours when you choose Jesus, my Son, and when you invite Him into your life.

I promise you freedom, freedom from all that has bound you up; all that has kept you apart from me. Let me deliver you into the light of my love so that my blessings and promises will be yours to hold forever.”

a Whisper…a little perspective

“Perspective is what is needed when you struggle in relationships that are important to you. I am the one who can help you with that.

Your perspective is skewed because you don’t always know what the other person’s thoughts or struggles may be. You tend to assume much and many of your assumptions are wrong because they are based upon feelings rather than facts.

When your feelings get hurt by others, you often jump quickly to the wrong assumptions and this is what skews your perspective. You see through a dark glass and that is not enough to be truly discerning. Instead of jumping to conclusions of your own making, make the effort to bring your thoughts to me and ask me to help you to have discerning eyes. Ask me to provide you wisdom so that you will see more clearly. You may not be completely off the mark, but I am the only one who knows for sure.

You would be wise to trust in me and to allow me to work in your heart; and to speak to you about these things before you go off and create a situation that does not exist.  Haste can be a waste of time and effort. It can also be a setback to hinder the answers to your prayers.

Come to me, come to this safe place where we meet in prayer and in my Word. I will speak to your heart and show you the way to go and how to gain the right perspective in your relationships.”

  • “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5
  • “The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” 1 Corinthians 2: 10b – 11
  • “My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble.” Proverbs 3: 21-23

a Whisper…people problems

“I know that sometimes it can be very hard to come to me, to humble yourself before me and to lay your cares at my feet. It can be particularly hard when you are struggling with others. But I will honor you as you do so, and I will lift you up in due course.

As you persevere through the relational trials you face, I will be near you and I will help you to have the measure of grace you need for each moment.  Look to me to provide and I will.

Your smile and the attitude of your heart communicate messages even when you don’t have words to say. People around you need the message of grace, peace, and hope because they may not know me as you do. Since my peace rests upon you, you can share that peace with them even without saying a word, but simply by being my child and allowing my Spirit to operate through you.

Embrace opportunities for my light to shine through you. It is by kindness and love that you will experience the joy of giving hope and encouragement to others. I will be glorified in your life and others will know me because they see me in you.

Go in my love, walk in my blessing, and see my glory come by your faithfulness.”

  • “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.” James 4:10
  • “Christ is not weak when he deals with you; he is powerful among you. Although he was crucified in weakness, he now lives by the power of God. We, too, are weak, just as Christ was, but when we deal with you we will be alive with him and will have God’s Power.” 2 Corinthians 13: 3b,4
  • “If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.” Luke 11:36

a Whisper…a break in the clouds

“When clouds of frustration loom over your head, you must look for the one bright light peeking through, that break in the clouds. That is where you will find me.

There is always a break in the clouds, however sometimes it is not easy to see. There is a time to be patient, to wait, to breathe, and slow your thoughts down. You cannot see clearly when your mind is wrapped up in anxious thoughts because your focus is on your issues, and not on me. It always comes back to choices and what you choose to do.  How you choose to respond will affect the outcome of every situation.

When storm clouds appear and suddenly your emotions become a whirlwind of anxious reactions, choose to be still and remember me. Remember that I am God, that I am with you and my power is sufficient for you. Give your anxious thoughts to me, invite me into the situation and I will be your help. This is my promise to you and I am faithful to my word.  I am faithful to my children – always.”

  • “Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again—my Savior and my God!” Psalms 42:11

  • “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” Psalms 94:19

  • “So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” John 1:14

a Whisper…& a prayer

“I am the one who loves you most. As you bring everything to me your trust grows and our relationship deepens. I will always make a way for you and you will see me clearly. My Spirit does not hide from you. I will speak to your heart and I will heal.  You will be encouraged and strengthened. I will do what no other can do for you.

You have been given a brain and the ability to figure things out on your own, yet you can still bring everything to me. Do this and experience my companionship as I provide for you along the way. It is never the end of the day with me. Our journey together is fluid and stirred by the ongoing love and longing that I have for fellowship with you.

I am Spirit and I am Truth.  I am Holy, and I am your God. Fellowship with you delights my Spirit. Receive me, invite me into your daily life so I can be your source in all things.”

  • “You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope.” Psalms 119:114
  • “But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive!” Psalms 54:4
  • “And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.” 1 John 5:20

…and a Prayer…

Father, you are genuine and pure love.  I invite you into my day. I desire for my journey with you to be constant and real, not just when there is great need or even great happiness, but in the ordinary moments of every day so that I can have an extraordinary life with you.

a Whisper…in other Words

(Photo by Aaron Burden – unsplash)

“Come near to me and I will come near to you.  It is I who gives you strength and understanding. It is I who imparts truth. It is my truth that will prevail in all the relationships that concern you.

You must learn to rest in me, to give your cares to me and to trust that I have you, and that I intervene and care for others as you pray for them.  Do not keep your concerns, give them to me. I am faithful, and I hear your heart as you pray and talk to me. Keep judgement away for you do not see all that I am doing in the lives of others.

When you have words to speak, be sensitive for words have the power to bring love and healing or to bring discouragement and pain. Let your words encourage and lift others up, let your words be my words. Seek me before you speak, and I will provide what needs to be said.  It does not have to be a strain; my words flow like a river in and through my children. Allow this river to calm and soothe your soul that it also might be a blessing to others and bring me glory.

Don’t forget that I am God and you are not. Stay humble in my presence and my blessing will be unmistakable as you interact with others. It is I who gives abundant life. It is I who gives truth and justice. It is I who lead people to repentance, and I know those who need to repent. I have not forgotten one of them.

Never stop believing in the power of your prayers for I hear each word you say. You have seen my faithfulness many times and I am not finished yet. Abide in me, remain steadfast and faithful. Stay close to me for my blessings will come. I love you; I am with you now and into eternity.”

a Whisper…seeing

“I reveal myself to you in so many ways and sometimes you choose to see me, other times you don’t. My beauty is all around you, but you must choose to see with the eyes of your spirit, of my Spirit in you.

I give you times of rest, but you must recognize and choose to receive them. This means that you lay your cares and your burdens down, you give them to me, you let them go. When you have surrendered them, I am free to move and work in your life and show you my blessing.  Then you can experience my joy and my peace, and you will not fail to see the beauty in my creation wherever you are or wherever you go.”
