a Whisper…my loving kindness

“I have filled your cup with my loving kindness. All you need to do is allow it to spill over to others where I have placed you. Show concern, compassion, and your love for me by giving it away.

Keep judgement far from you for you do not know all that another person deals with in their life. Wear understanding like a garment and live in such a way that my love shines forth through you.

Don’t give up on doing good because as you sow kindness and love, you will reap the same. I will pour my blessings and love right back into you.  You will find your needs are also met as you willingly help to meet the needs of others.

When things around you change, you may rest in me for I don’t change. The steady supply of my love flows constantly like a river in your direction. You may rest in the power of my unchanging love for you and be assured that you will have the strength needed to face the challenges of each day.

Keep drinking from the cup of my loving kindness and you will find the refreshment you need to continue to serve me where you are.”

  • Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12
  • The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” Jeremiah 31
  • For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord. Psalm 117:2
  • Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10

a Whisper…mountains

“Mountains can be beautiful to look at when you are living in a calm and peaceful valley. However, they may not look as attractive if I ask you to climb one. Some embrace mountains enthusiastically as an adventure, others see them as obstacles. I allow certain mountains to be obstacles in your life because there are things I want you to teach you. This is not to harm you, it is to help you.

I want you to learn to trust me fully, and to believe that together you and I can do whatever it is I am calling you to do. You are not alone once you have invited me into your life. I have promised to be with those who love me, and I will help you do what I ask of you. I will help you to conquer your fears. Because of my great love, you will not fail.

The mountain you face is for a season and you must trust my reason for allowing it. It is more important that you focus on the one who is leading you than on the mountain itself.

My plans are always going to be for your best and I will lead you in the right direction. Trust me as you step out on faith to climb the mountain in front of you. I am calling you to go with me on this journey. Are you ready? We can begin when you say yes.”

  • In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. Psalm 95:4
  • Who may ascend the mountain of he Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. They will receive a blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior. Psalm 24: 3-5
  • The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8

a Whisper…I will be there for you

“Not everything you face in this life is going to be easy, but you must know that because you are mine, all things are possible with me. My Spirit does not depart from you in times of struggle. You can always connect to me because I am with you through all your days, in every path you choose to walk.

The key is to keep moving forward. There is a time to be still and rest, but you must continually set your eyes upon growth so that my plans can be accomplished in you. Don’t allow your mind to become stagnant or you will become set in ways that are not in your best interest and you will miss the greatest blessings I have in store for you. Your journey through this life does not end until I call you home. Be willing to go where I want to take you.

The struggle you are facing right now is the one that I want to work out in your life. When I desire to teach you something, you are never going to be able to put it on the back burner. That battle you face in your mind is because I am trying to get your attention. We cannot address the issues until you are on the same page with me.

Jesus walked a path that eventually lead him to the garden of Gethsemane. He knew it was his time, he knew he was going to face an agonizing and painful death. He was overwhelmed because he knew he was going to suffer in his body. Yet, he overcame the battle in his mind and allowed my will to be done in his life. He continued to trust me to give him the strength he would need to get through the suffering he was about to endure.

Since I was there for my son as he faced the most grueling ordeal of his life, I will also be there for you in your struggle—in your pain—in your doubt. You will overcome because He did. You will be successful because He was. You will rise again because in faithful obedience he showed you how to do the same.”

  • He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17
  • They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.” Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” Mark 14: 32-36
  • An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. Luke 22: 43,44
  • …for “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16

a Whisper…a miracle to hold in your heart

“As you open your ears to hear my voice this morning, quiet your mind from all things that would come to distract you so that I can simply minister to your heart during this peaceful moment.

I perceive your spoken, as well as your unspoken, cares and concerns. I hear and receive the prayers you have prayed for those you love. They are carried by my Spirit from your heart to mine. My answers will come due time according to my will and purpose. My comfort is all-encompassing. My healing flows through grace and the unfathomable love I have for you and your loved ones. My joy is your strength and I am ever present with you.

My presence in all things that concern you is a miracle to hold in your heart. It will sustain and strengthen you in weakness. It will deliver you in times of trouble and despair. It will be the joy that allows you to keep moving forward and not get hung up on the past.

I am truly your source for everything and I long for you to see me as such, not only amidst great need, but in your everyday, mundane tasks. Allow my Holy Spirit to be your miracle in chaos and confusion, as you experience pain and hurtful things, in times of sorrow and loss, and in times of great joy. I long to bless you with the comfort of my presence.

I am God your Father, I am personal, I am real even when you cannot see me in a physical way. I want you to call me Father and to feel the warmth of my love surrounding you in such a way that you are carried from day to day on the wings of faith.

If you will embrace me and allow me to be the center of your world, you will see the bounty of my endless provision and blessings. I will faithfully make a way for you through each step of your journey and my glory will become the joy that sustains your life. Receive my hope and keep your trust firmly planted in me because I am good, and I will be good to you.”

  • You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Psalm 139: 1-3
  • For hardship does not spring from the soil, nor does trouble sprout from the ground. Yet man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward.   • Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6

“Though you don’t always see the path ahead, I lead you in the path of righteousness. I make a way for you in times of joy and challenge. Accept all these things for they are part of my plan for you.

Challenges may at times feel crushing, however, they can pull you into my presence and cause you to seek me with fervency for deliverance and help that you might be set free.  I use all these things to bless you so that you will see my hand of goodness and deliverance in your life. My grace is enough for each need and I will be your comfort and strength as you trust me.

The enemy may try to come against you when you are down. You must learn to recognize this so that you can cast him away. He will attack your mind and try to deceive you into thinking that I have abandoned you. He is the father of lies, the distorter of truth, and you do not need to give him a foothold in your circumstances. I have given you power over him because my Spirit is in you, and greater is my Spirit in you than he is.

As you separate yourself from the lies of the enemy, you will see the power of my Spirit at work. Your faith is your strength. Your trust in me gives you the power to overcome, to be healed, and to experience wholeness of mind and body. I am your source of healing and I will minister to you in times of trouble, and in times of physical weakness so that you will conquer your fears and come through the difficult way.

I tell you there is always blessing on the other side of trials and tribulations. Persevere with me for I am with you. Deliverance will come from me. My hand will move over you and you will again be restored as I lead you to the green pastures of joy and refreshment.”

  • The path of the righteous is level; you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth. Isaiah 26:7
  • The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. Proverbs 4:18
  • Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
  • …for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. Philippians 1:19
  • He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name sake. Psalm 23: 2,3

a Whisper…where you want to be

“My mercies are new every morning. You know that I love you and that I am here for you when you need me. I watch over every step you take, even when you’re not conscious of my presence. You are never alone.

There is nothing in life that we cannot handle together. And, there is nothing for your benefit that I won’t provide when you ask in faith and you are willing to trust me. Goals are achieved over the course of time. Instant results or solutions to problems rarely come as you’d like them to. You must be determined to accomplish them, you must look to me for the strength you need, and I will help you.

Goals are choices that you make. You must plan and prepare to make them happen. Results don’t come immediately, and you don’t generally get a silver platter of direction from me either. As you seek, you will find because I will lead as you are moving forward. I cannot lead if you are sitting still.

You must cross over any mental barriers that hinder your ability to make the changes you desire so that your goal may be accomplished. You can begin by not allowing negative thoughts and words to come out of your mouth. Say positive things like: “I can do this”, “I will be successful in reaching my goal because God is with me”, and “My Father loves me. He will give me the strength I need.”

Begin to visualize yourself where you want to be, not where you feel you are. Focus on the benefits and the good that will come from what you are going to accomplish. Once you have resolved in your mind to do something, you will have your first victory. This  fundamental step must be taken so you can move forward in achieving your goal.”

  • Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22,23
  • …He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:3b
  • Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24
  • Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful…Ephesians 4:29a
  • So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
  • Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13,14

a Whisper…humility in leadership

“The best leaders are the servants of all. It is not about the prestige of what you do or the power that may come along with it. It is about the influence you have to accomplish good in the areas where you serve.

When your heart is motivated by the right things, you have the power to influence in a positive way. If your motivation is for self-glory, you will struggle to find acceptance and support.

Embracing humility in leadership is the key to using your power and influence successfully. Others will see you in one of two ways; they will see you as sincere and capable, someone who they can get behind and support. Or, they may see you as heartless, egotistical, or in it only for personal gain. How others see you impacts the ability you have to be successful and utilize influence in your position.

You have the ability to be a leader, even if you are not in a leadership role as defined by world standards. Your self-view defines how you contribute in your role. If you are one who serves others or one who leads others, you are both serving and have the capacity to lead through influence.

When your motivation is for the good of all, you will achieve the respect of others, the support of others, and your environment will thrive. Lead with humility so that by your ability to influence, success will come to all.”

  • Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” Mark 9:35
  • The greatest among you will be your servant. Matthew 23:11
  • Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others. Philippians 2: 3, 4
  • When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2
  • Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life. Proverbs 22:4
  • Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter: 4:10

“My presence is present with you always. As you bend your knees to me, I see your heart, hear your prayers and lift you up so that the power of my love may be complete in you. As your heart joins with mine we become one in my Spirit. You never need to fear for I am near when you call out to me and I will take care of you.

I am patient with you. When you fall behind, I wait for you to catch up. I go ahead of you and I prepare the way. With me, your path is never dark even when you cannot see the light for both light and dark are the same to me. If you wish to know me, then you must fully trust me even when it seems like you are walking in darkness.

Although you see so much beauty in the world around you, it is only a fraction of the beauty and majesty I have yet to reveal. The light to come at the end of your journey is the fulfillment of every blessing that I have in store for all of you who call me Father. It is the brilliant illumination of eternity found in the Kingdom of Heaven. It is the place where my glory lives, and it will be the ultimate fulfillment of your hope in me. No more will you live in darkness, then you will see clearly.

I am your present and living hope, the light of your life, the provider of your every need and the giver of every good gift. Do not fear the condition of your world. Live each day in the hope and security of my glory as it has come to your heart. Trust me and allow my love to be the sustaining force of your life propelling you toward heaven and eternity with me.”

  • When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Psalms 94:19
  • Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 1 Peter 5:6
  • When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
  • This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5

(Note: Since I started this blog, I have had a fear that one day, I would duplicate a post. With this blog, my fear has become a reality…I have toyed with deleting it so that I don’t look too foolish…but it occurred to me that perhaps someone might need to see this with a different spin based upon the title or maybe they didn’t see the other post so this is new to them. Perhaps I am the one who needs to see it again a little more clearly!)

a Whisper…the joy connection

“My joy is your strength from day to day. I long for you to live in joy, to remember that I am your loving Father, your Faithful God, who will never disappoint you. Though life will have challenges and disappointments, you will see my faithfulness and be blessed by my loving grace.

Discouragement and trials do not have to be obstacles that separate us. When you place your trust in me, I will draw near to you. I will show you the way through and you will see my hand of blessing move over you and in your circumstances. All you need is found in me, and when you have the faith to believe, you will receive.

Allowing me to be part of your daily life is not as hard as your flesh would make it. You must tap into the power of my Spirit and grab ahold of me so that your senses begin to tune into my presence with you. The battles you face in getting to this place are fought in your mind. The pressures of family, work, and things you must do often overtake your ability to see me in them.

I am not as far removed from you as you think. On the contrary, you are not as in tune with my Spirit as you could be. You connect with me as you pray. You can pray anywhere, anytime, and in every circumstance because prayer is done, not just through your mouth, but in your mind.

Prayer is the continuous link in our communication. It is not an afterthought but an ongoing conversation between you and my Spirit living within you. As you converse with me throughout the course of your day our intimacy deepens, and your spirit is infused with my presence. I will move in your surroundings, act over circumstances, hear your prayers, and meet your needs. In all these things, the joy I long to give you becomes the sustaining strength of your connection to me.”

  • “…This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10b
  • I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself. Psalm 89:2
  • You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely. Psalm 59:17
  • May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
  • My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
