a Whisper…father/Father

“I am the strength of your heart. I am the root of your salvation and the nourishment of your soul.

My heart rejoices when you come to me with an attitude of praise and thankfulness. Your life may not be all that you’d like it to be, yet you choose to abide and trust in me. Your trust enables my Spirit to continue to move and work in your life.

As you set apart time to focus on me, time to be in my presence, to wait upon and to hear from me, I will be faithful to speak to you. When you are secure in my love, you are open and able to hear what I want to say to you. Your open-heart paves the way for our personal relationship to grow.

It is my desire that you open your heart to me and allow me to be personal to you.  When you grasp the concept of me as your Father, that I love you like no other, and that nothing you can do will ever separate me from you, you are able to see me as personal, the one who tenderly loves you, the one who always accepts you, the only one who will never disappoint you.

Sometimes you believe that you are not worthy of this kind of love. This thought comes from the enemy of your soul. My son, Jesus, gave his life for you, and that makes you worthy.  You must not believe the lies of your enemy! When you receive my truth, it changes you. Old thoughts and ideas become the past, and my truth becomes your present. It is a gift that I give you freely. It is a gift that I long for you to accept.

Your earthly father is (was) an imperfect person because he is (was) human. His love for you is (was) flawed by his humanity, and he is (was) incapable of loving you with perfect love. That said, I am Perfect and that is how I love you.  As my child you are clothed in a robe of righteousness. I can meet all your needs and satisfy the deepest longings of your soul. No human could ever accomplish this.  Yet, I call out to you, wanting to be your Father, desiring to be the one you trust above all. I long for you to see this truth; to receive and understand my great love for you as your Father.”

a Whisper…peace

“My peace passes all understanding and it is yours today. All you must do is choose to receive it. There are many stirrings in your heart, but I lead you in the path of peace. If you feel anxious, you are going the wrong way. However, as you experience my peace, the way becomes clear.

Sometimes you confuse your wants and needs with my desires for you. I desire that you seek me first; that you share these things with me and allow me to guide you in the process of obtaining them. Since fear is the opposite of peace, don’t allow yourself to fear that you may not receive what you want. I am your provider and all your needs will be met in me.

Peace is disrupted when your focus is on the wrong things. In these times it is good to pray and to give them to me.  Seek me and I promise you will always find me, however, it may not be within your time frame. Remember, I know what you need, exactly when you need it, and I also know when you are ready to receive. Trust in me to provide for you and my peace will carry you.  You will not be disappointed.”

a Whisper…salvation

(Photo by John Westrock – unsplash)

“It is good to wait upon me for salvation in your life.

Salvation began in you when you received Jesus, my son, into your heart. You have walked with me and talked with me and allowed me to work in you. You have set your mind and heart upon me to learn from me and to seek my will in your life.  These choices have built a bridge of unity between your life and my heart.

You have searched for my truth in the depth of your soul. You have been grateful for the revelations that I have given you.  You embrace me and because you choose me, I bless you, I protect you, and I make my presence known to you.

Because you believe, we have daily fellowship and I am with you wherever you go. I make a way for you in the light and I guide you through the darkness. I protect you from the enemy, and I shelter your life in the shadow of my loving arms.

Your heart is visible amidst your humanity. Jesus resides there and that gives me great glory and joy. My love and truth satisfy the longing of your soul and our fellowship together is sweet as the beekeeper’s honey.

Salvation began when you believed, will continue throughout your life, and will be fulfilled in eternity. It is good to wait upon my salvation.”

a Whisper…rest

“You are deeply loved and I long for you to receive my love today.

I see your struggles and I have compassion on you. It gladdens my heart when you submit to me despite how you feel. Enter my rest. It is for your body, mind, and soul.  It is thorough rest, the best rest. It allows you to experience peace throughout your day.  In this restful state, there are no complaints or worries or frustrations. There is simple trust and hope in me, the Father who loves you and will provide for all your needs.

Press into me today and rely upon my strength to carry you through.  You can accomplish more than you know when you’re moving to the rhythm of my Holy Spirit moving in you.  I can do abundantly more in your life as you are yielded to me, as you allow my power to work in and through you.”

  • “Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me.” Psalms 116:7

a Whisper…abiding & submission

“I long to be at the forefront of your mind.  I long to show you my way, the best way for you live, move, and be. Train yourself to look for me even amidst the distractions of your day for there are many things that want to pull your thoughts away from me.

Abiding in me is living each moment with an awareness of my presence. Whether you are at work or play, creating or cleaning, doing yard work or running errands, I long for fellowship with you. As you abide, and as your awareness increases, the more present I become in your daily life. Increased awareness heightens my ability to communicate with you.  When you hear my voice and follow where I lead, your peace becomes greater and my life is lived in you.

There is freedom within the boundaries of discipline. It is a freedom built upon faith. It is a freedom greater than what most are ever able to find, but it involves the training of your mind and submission of your will. There are good things done of your choosing, but there are greater things you will do as you submit your will to mine. My plans have purpose beyond your comprehension; yet they are fulfilled as you allow me to have control.

You are afraid to let go of control because you see control differently than I do.  You are empowered to make choices and decisions over your life, yet by relinquishing control, my Spirit is released to lead you in the perfect way. I can safeguard your paths in ways that you cannot.

Submission is abiding. It is trusting in me to know what is best for you.  Submit yourself to me today and see what I will do as you yield your will to mine.  You will learn to live in the sweetest place where my blessing and provision will be yours.  Let go and let me be the strength of your life today. You are greatly loved, and I desire to bless you abundantly as you abide in me.”

  • “Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you.” Job 22:21
  • “Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!” Hebrews 12:9

a Whisper…growth

“Every day is a new day for you to walk and talk with me. Every day is a new opportunity for you to draw near to me, to find me right where you live…not only physically, but in your mind. The stirrings of my Spirit within you are genuine and these are the things that I want to get into and through you because they will bless me, fulfill you, and encourage those you love.

You have not arrived at the destination yet, but you can trust me in the journey to get you there. Continue to open your mind to me and look for my revelations for they will be the lessons that give value to your life. I am faithful, and I am your Father who will do this as you remain open to my work and purposes for you.

I have made you and will continue to make myself known to you. Growth comes through submission to me and a desire to do my will, however, it is a choice.  It means you must be willing to let go of your own desires to focus in on my desires for you.  When you feel weak, remember that your weaknesses help to keep you focused on me and what I am doing in you. Use them to draw near to me so I can teach you.

Growth takes time and comes in waves. I am careful to ensure the waters will not overwhelm you, so you are able to navigate your way through. The truth is that as you open your heart, and submit to me, I can carry out the work that needs to be done in your life. Walk close to me and know that I desire for you to be the best version of yourself, the person that I created you to be.  By allowing my presence into your days, all these things are possible.

Focus your heart and mind on me and know that I am with you wherever you go, and in all that you do because you love me. My blessing is upon your life.”

  • “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:16

a Whisper…for the seeker

“My Spirit is in you working to draw you ever closer to me. I love sweet fellowship with you each morning when you bring your requests and your praises to me. Your burdens become lighter as you lay your cares at my feet for you know that when you give them to me, your peace is not disrupted, and you can continue in the things you have to do.

There is so much freedom in knowing that you don’t walk alone; there is freedom in knowing that because I love you so much, I will always provide and care for you.  Your needs are truly met in me.

As the light of my love surrounds you, your horizons are broadened, and you can see beyond what is right in front of you toward my greater purposes and plans.  You are never limited by your perceived limitations as you walk with me. Take hold of the power within you so you can accomplish all that I have for you to do in this life.

There is a satisfaction that runs deep into your soul as you fulfill my will and purposes. This is the greatest experience my children can have, yet probably the hardest to obtain because it is spiritual in nature. It requires seeking and effort on your part. It is not something that simply happens. It comes as a result of your journey with me, it is found in me through faith.

You need to have eyes to see and the will to follow. My heavens are opened to all who do this, and you will see my glory in the land of the living. You will experience joy that sustains you, joy that carries you through good and bad times.

I am with you. I am for you, and I long for you to desire more of me. Trust me and I will show you these truths. I will become real to you in ways you never fathomed.”

  • “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7: 7,8
  • “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.  God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.”  Acts 17: 24 – 27

a Whisper…light

“The power of my Holy Spirit at work in your life enables you to live abundantly according to all that I have planned for you. I long for you to hear my voice and seek to walk in the light of my love.

Just like the lighthouse navigates ships at sea toward their homeland, so I am the lighthouse that steers your life towards me. I am the keeper of light. My light shines brightly before you to show you the way home.

When storms arise, the swells may pull you off course, yet my light still shines in the darkness and will lead you to me if you follow it. Trust my light for it is my love that guides you and keeps you safe.  It is my light that penetrates the darkness in your life to deliver and set you free.

As a ship’s captain looks for the spinning lamps of the lighthouse, I send forth my light to the children of men looking for all those hearts who would turn toward me. Steer your ship toward the light of my love and find the treasure of my truth, the abundant blessings that I have stored up for you.”

  • “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
  • “Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” John 3: 20,21
  • “But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

a Whisper…take comfort

“The warmth of my love surrounds you. In that, you may take great comfort. In your weakness, I am always strong.  You may lean into me, giving my Spirit the opportunity to work in your life and meet your needs.  You are weary, and I will give you rest. I will provide the needs of your day, and we will get through it together.”

  • “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

a Whisper…living in Me

“I am your source.  My Spirit lives in you.  Just as the rain comes down and causes the cracks in the dry land to come together and be nourished and made stronger so My Spirit reigns down upon you to fill all the cracks in your imperfect life to nourish and strengthen you.  When you long for me, when you need me more than you need anything else, you will understand and experience the impact of this truth.

It is not necessary for you to live your life constantly striving to control everything around you. I desire more from you than that. I long for you to trust me so much that what you do comes as natural as breathing. Your good works are not always your best works because they are done in your own strength. When your life is yielded to me, we are partnered together and what comes out of you becomes something beautiful that was created because you have trusted and relied upon my provision to achieve it.

You do not have to work harder to achieve greater purposes, you only need to allow me to be part of them. When you are yielded to me, as you trust in me, the things you do will have significantly more impact.  They will give me glory, you will experience a satisfaction you did not anticipate, and others will be blessed.

It is time for you to rely upon me in all things, to let go of your selfish desires to control everything, and to work with me to accomplish my greater purposes for you. Choose me today and every day; choose me to be your partner in all you do, and you will see my greatest blessings unfold in your life.”
