Whispers from God

“As the morning bird sings its song at the first light of day, so I sing over you. May my love song penetrate your heart as you begin your day with me, so you will know how deeply I love you. I long to fill you with more of me through the power of my Spirit that you may live in my joy and experience my great peace no matter what is happening in your life. I am always near and my love is everlasting.

When you are thankful, my heart is glad, and I desire to give you more of me that you will be filled and satisfied with the riches that only come from living in me. These are pearls and treasures that have value beyond the physical and material world you live in. They are the treasures that provide you with security today and hope in the life to come. They are far greater than any material blessing you could ever receive or purchase. They will have a lasting and powerful impact upon your life as you walk with me and trust me to provide for you. Do you perceive them?

Seek me with all your heart and you will find the treasures I have stored up for you. Following me will sometimes mean that you abandon your plans in favor of the greater purposes I have in mind for you. Are you willing?

You know that I will not lead you where I do not go with you. Therefore, you may trust the road ahead and rest in me. Pearls must be found. Where your treasure is, there your heart will also be. I have precious pearls for you to find as you go with me. Will you follow?

Your heart wants what it can see, but it will sometimes lead you astray. When you allow my Spirit to fill your heart and by placing your trust in me, you will find all the treasures I have in store for you. Pearls or worldly pleasures. Which will you choose?”

• The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
• Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Romans 11:33
• But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children. Psalm 103:17
• Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it. Matthew 13:45,46
• For where your treasure is, there our heart will be also. Matthew 6:21
• The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Jeremiah 17:9

“Everyday there are opportunities that come your way to love and serve others. Sometimes you see them, acknowledge them, and do something with them. Other times, they float right by you like feathers in the wind.

I desire for you to become so sensitive to the power of my Holy Spirit at work in you that you know my voice and hear me when I speak.  When you are alert to my Spirit you will not miss an opportunity when it comes. Set your desires upon me and let your spiritual eyes be open wide to what is happening around you.

If an opportunity comes, but the way ahead seems unclear, stop, pray, and wait for me. You do not have to allow the pressure of doing something in that moment to consume you to the point that you don’t know what comes next. When you’re at peace, I can provide clarity. When you are anxious, you cannot hear my voice.

If things are moving fast and perhaps more than you can handle, remember that I am not in the confusion around you. I am found in the peace that surrounds you. Go with me through each step of your journey today and moment by moment my Spirit, who moves ahead of you, will make the way clear. Opportunities will not pass you by as you move in sync with me.”

• But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you. 1 Samuel 12:24
• “As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,” says the Lord.” Isaiah 59:21
• Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27
• Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

“The Word, my Word was made flesh in Jesus, my Son. He is your Savior, He is your Lord. He is the payment for all your sins, past, present, and future. Cling to Jesus for he is your deliverer. He has tied you to me by his life and death upon the cross and brought restoration to us. He was in me and I in him when he walked in the flesh; and now through his death and resurrection, his spirit fills you and I receive you as I received him. We are all interconnected and when I look at your heart, I see Jesus.

Jesus has equipped you for my Kingdom. His power resides in you to be light and truth to all those he brings across your path; to those who have yet to receive him. I encourage you to live as he lived, love as he loved, forgive as he forgave, and serve as he served so that you too will show people the way to me and to eternal life.

Some of you will be empowered to do this in a very bold way. Others of you will reflect my love by the way you live your life in quiet confidence and trust. Jesus was always sensitive to my Spirit in the careful ways he spoke. Through love and patience, he accepted others as valuable to my Kingdom. He led with his heart, so I call you to lead with yours.  Since you have received the great gift of my love, serve me as he did with a sensitive and faithful heart as you share my love with others.

Jesus is the way to me, my purposes for each of you are fulfilled through him. He is the Word of my Spirit and the work of my heart for all of you. Embrace him, hold tightly to the truth and you will successfully minister to others the love they so desperately need.”

• “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
• “For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As the Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him (Jesus) will never be put to shame.” Romans 10: 10,11
• “But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.” Hebrews 3:6

“My word is nourishment for your soul. It gives life and health to your body, mind and spirit. As you breathe it in, it becomes the sustaining power of my presence. It affects growth and empowers you to serve me. As my Spirit becomes alive in you, our fellowship becomes sweeter and your peace becomes greater.

When you find it hard to hear my voice, go to my word. Ask my Spirit to lead you and I will show you truth. I will help you, giving you the comfort you need and the direction you seek. My word lives. It is powerful for tearing down strongholds. It divides reality from fiction. It is useful for correction and encouragement. You won’t find truth and freedom in places where I am not. My word is the foundation of your faith. It is trustworthy and as you embrace me, you will know what it is like to walk upon the heights, to tower over your enemy the devil, and to experience the greatness of my presence in your life.

I am not a little god. You can’t put me in your pocket and pull me out when it’s convenient. I call you to enter my greatness, into my glory, and to live a life that is empowered by my Holy Spirit. I call you out of darkness into my continuous light. My glory wants to shine brightly through you so that others will be drawn to me by your faith.

I desire to show you the riches of my glory, to give you the keys to eternity, and to fill your life with the most wonderful blessings. Let me expand your mind so that you may see my glory and fulfill the purposes I have for you so that the truth of my word will liberate you from sin and death.  You do not have to settle for a little life with a little god. I am the Great I AM, and I want to be mighty in you so that you will have a BIG life filled with my goodness and love; one filled with joy and peace; one that conquers difficulties, overcomes obstacles, and experiences true freedom.

All my blessings belong to my children. You will know them fully as you set your mind to live a life devoted to me. I am God, your Father, true and righteous. Open your heart and trust me with your life so you may receive all that I have planned for you. Living in me will lead you to the riches of my kingdom. There is nothing in this world that will compare to the glory I have in store for you.”

• “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.” Deuteronomy 28: 12 – 14
• “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” 1 Corinthians 12:7
• “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:17,18
• “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” Romans 8:14
• “But it is the spirit in a person, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding.” Job 32:8

“The sun rises, you pass through your day, and the sun sets again. In all the moments in between did you consider me? Did you see me? Did you listen for the voice of my Spirit speaking to your heart?

The busyness of your life and the tasks at hand occupy you. There is work to be done and you have responsibilities. I know your responsibilities well and understand the demands they put on your time because some of them have come from me. Still, it is easy for you to get so caught up in what you’re doing that your focus turns away from me.

Rather than going your way alone, consider inviting me to be a part of what you’re doing. This may be an opportunity for my Spirit to speak to your heart in a special way, to open your eyes to something that you’ve not seen or considered before.

I desire to be a part of all that you are involved in. If you find yourself struggling too much and unable to center your tasks around me, perhaps it is time to consider the value of what you are doing. Perhaps it is time to realign your priorities.

The enemy will use many things, even the littlest ones to distract you and keep you from seeing the things that I want to show you. It is possible for you to keep your focus on me even when you are engaged in other things. However, it is a discipline that you must teach your mind so that it becomes a pattern in your life. The closer you draw near to me, the more your patterns are established and the more you will realize that you are walking in tune with me through the business of your days.

I am always with you, but it may take a little effort for you to get in step with me. Growth comes in our relationship as your awareness of my presence increases. If you desire to develop more intimacy with me between the rising of the sun and its setting, put your mind to it and establish the patterns that keep you engaged with me. Ultimately, you will experience my presence with greater depth and understanding than perhaps you thought possible.”

• “What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 1:13
• “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
• “From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.” Psalm 113:3

“Hold fast to the hope you have in me. When doubts creep into your mind or trouble knocks at your door, stand firm and be strong for you are not alone. You have the abiding, constant companionship of my Spirit within you. I will equip you to deal with whatever comes your way.

Storms will come and go, but nothing will ever overtake you as you go through them with me. I am your source of strength, the anchor of your hope, and your faithful deliverer. You may trust me to protect you. Find comfort in my love and walk confidently in the truth of my word.

My love encompasses the entirety of your life. It is the only love you will ever experience that is perfect and inescapable. When your eyes are focused on me, you can navigate anything because I am at the helm. Hold fast to the hope you’ve been called to.”

• “… we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure…” Hebrews 6: 17b-20
• “And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Romans 5:5
• “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
• “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power though his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3: 16-19

“I speak to your heart and minister to your soul in quiet moments. My word is light and truth, it is health and life to your bones. The hope that I have given you in Christ is ever present. It is a constant stream of refreshment and healing.

As you embark upon another year in your journey of faith with me, I ask you to go with me. I ask you to allow me to lead you. I challenge you to trust me in times of blessing and in times of struggle. As you go with me, surrender your heart to me. Be willing to sacrifice yourself for the something greater I want to do in your life.

Keep your eyes firmly fixed upon me as the author of everything good and perfect. You know in your heart that I will always be near to you and your needs will be provided. I will draw close to you as you draw close to me.

My Spirit is in you and upon you to do the things I have planned. Let the light of my love flowing in you be the reflection of my love flowing through you. Allow the power of my Spirit to accomplish His work so that we will grow intimately together as you follow me in the days ahead.

There is nothing that will separate you from my great love or my forgiveness. You are my child. I love you wholly and wish to bless you abundantly. I give you peace and power, strength and grace, so that my purposes produce the fruit of faithfulness in your life. I only ask that you have a willing spirit to go with me.”

“Sometimes after you have prayed and as you wait for me to answer, you feel like I am being silent. This doesn’t mean that I have not heard your prayers or that I am not working in the background to answer them. Your flesh craves an immediate response especially when you feel anxious.  Don’t allow your flesh to deceive you into thinking temporary silence means no answer will come. Abide confidently in me and allow me to work.

I ask you to wait upon me, to trust the provision of my Spirit.  Allow me to renew your strength as you wait. Keep your focus upon Me, the One who answers, rather than on the answers you’re waiting for.

Not one prayer is forgotten by me because I am attentive to your voice when you speak. You must be willing to allow me to move according to my timeline and wait patiently, even if the timing seems inconvenient. I am never late, so by faith trust me for the answers. Persevere with me as you continue in prayer and be assured that I have heard you.”

“A new year brings with it new challenges and unlimited opportunities to grow as you go with me through your life’s journey. I do not want you to fear the unknown of what lies ahead for you because I know these things, and I will be with you. I will make a way in every situation because I am your Father and I love you deeply.

You may continue to abide in me knowing that your life is hidden in Christ Jesus with me. I will keep you safe and I will strengthen you when you are weak. This is our journey together and I will not abandon you. Do not allow negative or anxious thoughts to dictate your feelings. Focus on what you know is true…that I am the strength of your heart and your portion forever.

My Spirit draws near to you as you draw near to me, enabling you to abide in peace. You may trust because you know that I am faithful. Embrace me fully, trust me completely, and you will experience my presence ever close to you. My love for you is perfect and it casts away any shadows of doubt and fear that may try to distract you. Allow my love to enfold you, go out in peace and live in my steady supply of joy.  In all things, continue to give me thanks and it will be well with your soul.

Every opportunity this year is a chance for you to see my hand at work in your life. You will have some great moments, and you will have some challenging ones. My desire is that you set your focus upon me, rather than on the things that are happening so that I can show you the way through each growth opportunity. Seek me first and my plans for you will be revealed and accomplished.”

“I am trustworthy. I am with you because you are my child. I will bring comfort and encouragement to your soul when you need me. I will bring hope when you are unsure of the way ahead of you. I will give you my peace so that you may rest in me with the assurance that I am with you in the good times, the challenges, and in times of uncertainty. My Spirit is your guide and your strength. I never lead you where I do not go with you.

Abiding in me is the commitment of your spirit to fully trust in me for all that concerns you. Abiding in me is to receive the comfort I have for you no matter what it is you are facing. It enables you to experience me from the inside out. It facilitates joy in your life always.

My love for you is greater than you can comprehend. It is ever faithful, even when you may feel faithless. It is constant even when you may rebel against it. It is the continual nudge of my Spirit upon your mind to get your attention when you may not be listening. It is the prayers of your family and friends who love you.

Your life is good because I bless it. Because I am trustworthy you may embrace the blessings of my presence with you for I will never leave or forsake you. You are mine and I am yours, even to the end.”
